If you just need a pair of wireless earbuds that work well and sound good, the Go Air Pop fit the bill perfectly. They're also incredibly affordable, making them a highly desired buy. However, if you have more specific priorities you might want to consider other buds in our list. Like the JLab Go Air Pop if you're on a budget. While the Melomania 1 Plus design may look similar to its predecessor, there’s a clear step up in terms of audio performance here, with levels of detail and clarity that could even rival some of the best over-ear headphones. Bass frequencies sound full and present, without ever getting too boomy or woolly. If you want ground-shaking low-end then these aren’t going to deliver that, but then you’re probably not going to be looking at earbuds for that kind of performance anyway. ANC is a real bonus at this price, and while it isn’t the best on the market it still can make noisier environments a bit gentler on the ears. With the Beats Fit Pro, you get a load of the features that make the AirPods Pro so great for iPhone owners, but made workout-friendly with wing tips that keep them in place, and a custom-designed driver for a bassier sound to get the blood pumping. I totally wouldn't find it weird! Although I'm one of these weirdos who finds it really satisfying to clean lots of wax out of ears!

In the battle between Bose and Beats, it depends what you're looking for. In our opinion, Bose is the better option for sheer audio performance and noise cancelling tech. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds 2 can't be beaten in terms of ANC. Voices should be natural, instruments should stand out from each other, and there should be a good sound balance overall between bass, mid-range and treble. Pros: great sound, effective noise cancelling, long battery life, very comfortable, good case, great controls, Fast Pair, multipoint, fancy Google Assistant features with Android. Building on the success of the Redmi Buds 3 Pro, this new generation is another excellent offering from the Xiaomi brand. Good sound quality, comfortable to wear, solid battery life, and the ANC, Immersive Sound and Hi-Res Audio features offer great value at this price. It's the same story for the sound quality, which we described as "one of the most expansive, three-dimensional and fun soundstages I've heard from a set of earbuds", also noting that "we get an extra ounce of detail and texture through the high end, too, compared to the competition". More expensive earbuds manage to provide even more detail (and there's no support for CD-quality sound here through aptX or Sony's LDAC wireless systems), but you have to spend twice as much to get even a bit better, really.We're looking (listening?) for earbuds that sound good first and foremost – we want to hear clear, rich audio that does justice to every genre. We listen to both high-quality source music, as well as lower-quality streams, as well as movies and videos. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds offer the best active noise cancellation of any earphones we've tested. That alone qualifies them for this list, but we're also fans of their rich, engrossing audio experience, as well as their intuitive companion app. We like that they support the AptX Adaptive codec for Android users, too. Who It’s For As always with Apple products, these buds are best suited to iPhone users thanks to unique features such as Dolby Atmos spatial audio, Find My support and auto-switching between devices. And the price is even relatively low compared to premium options such as the Sony WF-1000XM5 or the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II (further down this list). Sony's ANC in these affordable buds is very good, and the noise quality is basically best-in-class at this price. They're also very light and comfortable. As mentioned above, the Redmi Bud 4 Pros are fitted with twin drivers: a 10mm aluminium alloy dynamic main driver, paired with a 6mm titanium dynamic driver that handles the higher frequencies. These prove an impressive combination, as the sound quality they deliver is detailed and well-rounded.
